Show up in your Spurs drinking jammies for this one. Ben Davies returns from an ankle injury, Victor still out as well as long termers Lamela and Rose. A victory at the olympic stadium would be Spurs 5th consecutive away win and a much needed improvement on recent results vs this brand of east London scum. Get up, get in.

I'd only been a Spurs fan for about a year at this point... hadn't found my way to Floyd yet... this is still the most entertaining football match I've ever had the pleasure of watching:

Can't believe it's been ten years.

Anybody else notice Carroll swinging a wild elbow at Aurier a second before the challenge that got him sent off?
Dele should have killed off the game a few times. Hopefully he'll get his focus and killer instinct back soon.

Is Dele low on confidence, or just started believing his own hype. He looked so casual at times its like he couldn't be bothered. Though paradoxically he had a big hand in both of Kane's goals - so its not like he is a complete passenger.

Aurier had a very up and down game. He will need to learn to play with more discipline.

I admit I thought Sissoko was a good buy when we got him to add pace and power, clearly I hadn't seen him play closely enough. I was also all for giving him chances. But the man has no skills or control, its like playing with 10 men every time we play him. Gotta ship him off pronto.

The rest were ok - King Kane to the rescue again! So satisfying to put another one over the spammers after our last 2 trips there.

This is why I pretty much never want to see an integral player with a history of injuries and being run into the ground (Dembele) playing in an early round league cup match. I feel tomorrow will be very tough as we're out Jan, Wanyama, Dembele, Dele, and now Eriksen.

And I know it's early in the season but I'm starting an exploratory committee to support Kane as our POTS. Toby and Eriksen both deserving these past two seasons, but we have a living legend who deserves love.

Llorente was very good in his brief cameo.  Sissoko is (I think) slowly improving and getting comfortable with how Mopo wants him to operate - he did some good things and some not so good things, but he looked fit and eager, and put himself about to generally good effect.

We'll definitely be going back for Gomez in January.  So we just have to do the best with what we've got until we can bring in a heavy hitter.
